Participate in It's About Engagement Research

As part of KSU’s reaffirmation of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation, an evaluation study of KSU’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), It’s About Engagement, is being conducted. We are interested in interviewing and holding focus groups with voluntary participants who have or are currently engaged with implementation of KSU’s QEP. “Engaged” is defined as those individuals or units who provide resources or support for the QEP, those who oversee its implementation at the university, college, or departmental level, designers or instructors of engaged learning courses, and students who are or have been enrolled in an engaged learning course.

If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to anonymously participate in an audio recorded focus group or interview in an available and convenient location that is both confidential and private. This location may include a virtual environment through the use of Microsoft Teams. After the study concludes, the results will be made available to you and all other participants. The primary focus of this study is on the perceptions, experiences, and outcomes of the QEP and process improvement for future implementation of the QEP.

Your name will not appear on any materials submitted, and materials will be kept confidential at all times. The audio recordings will be used solely for the purposes of analyzing perceptions, experiences, and outcomes, as well as process improvement, of/for the QEP. The recordings will not be made public in any way. The Primary Investigator will be the only person to hear the recordings. This study will be completed in compliance with all federal laws regarding the privacy of student records, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), as well as all policies of the Office of Human Research Protections.
